About The Stu Sells Series

The Stu Sells Series started twelve years ago at the Toronto High Park Club, when Stuart Sankey wanted to bring top curlers to Toronto to compete in an Olympic qualifying event. This event, which has since grown to encompass 8 world class events, allowed the public to watch and take part in four days of elite level curling right at home. Since the Stu Sells Toronto Tankard grew, Stuart expanded the series to the Oakville area. Four years later, the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard has attracted the same caliber of curlers as his Toronto Tankard, allowing the Oakville community and surrounding areas to watch the best curlers in the world firsthand.

After the success of both Tankards, Stuart was approached to expand the series even further to include younger up and coming curlers, and more Olympic qualifying events. From that has come the Stu Sells Junior Tankard, the Stu Sells U18  and many more.  The Stu Sells Junior Tankard event registration fills up instantly, and one of the prizes for the champions is an automatic entry into the Stu Sells Toronto Tankard. Finally, the Stu Sells Series has expanded provincially (Stu Sells Port Elgin Superspiel, the Stu Sells Living Waters Collingwood Classic, the Stu Sells Brantford Nissan Classic) and nationally (Stu Sells 1824 Halifax Classic).

These eight events operate all over Canada with great partner curling clubs, members of the Toronto Curling Association, and have become a monumental series in the curling world. A huge thank you to our sponsors for their support of curling. Please visit the Partnership page on our website to support these amazing businesses.
